The basic decision is whither to get a ssd and a 16gb of ram and a gtx 970 or to get 8 gb of ram and sli gtx 970

Solution
Yeah I'd go with the top build. It will kill any game you throw at it, as well as perform very well in editing due to the hyperthreading of the 4790k. However, if it primarily a gaming PC you could just go for a 4690k and overclock it since most games don't utilize the hyperthreading.

Depends totally on what you will be using this pc for. Will you use it for any editing or just gaming? If you do alot of editing the 16GB might come in handy. If not, I would go with the SLI GTX970 because that will perform better gaming wise. How many monitors do you use? What resolution do your monitors have? Could you tell us something more about the use of the computer?
