what cable should i use?

i have a acer predator moniter with 144 Hz, i was using a dvi d cable and that worked fine for about 2 months. but now when i plug it in that socket where i use to plug it in i get no signal, my pc cant use dvi d for some reason when i put in there it gives me no signal, im thinking about buying a displayport cable but i dont know if i can run it, there is no place on the back where it says ''displayport'' so i dont know if i can run it should i get displayport to dvi d?, and i when i used my dvi d cable i plugged it in the dvi i socket, cause my dvi d socket dosent give me any signal. i can post a picture of the bag of computer if needed

Yes or HDMI if your monitor supports it
you sure its the DVI issue that you are getting no display? have you checked with onboard display ?

My gpu has 2 DVI i sockets and I can put my dvi d cable in the second socket, but when I do that I can only run 60hz but I want 144 hz since that's what I paid for, I used to put my DVI d cable in the first dvi I socket and that gave me 144 hz but now it doesn't give me any display..
