I got a 4K movie disc player to watch stuff in 4K, but amazon didn't include the cable in the box to connect the device to my computer monitor (got it from Amazon warehouse for a discount). The player is at the link below.

I was under the impression it connects to your display device with an HDMI cable. (It wouldn't use Display Port right...?)

But does it need some special kind of HDMI cable because we're talking about 4K movies here? Some kind of special cable that functions with 4K drm or whatever? What specific cable should I get to make this work with 4K movies?

Weird it didn't come with Hdmi cable, they usually do. Well box contents only mentions the player. Stingy... Lol

Just any Hdmi 2.0b high speed cable will work, nothing special required for 4k/ 60Hz. Different story for 4k 120Hz then you need a Hdmi 2.1 cable.

Choose your length.

This player has two Hdmi ports at the back. No Displayport and yeah Hdmi connects to the display.

Ok, I'm ready to give you best answer but it looks like they moved the best answer button or something? I'm not seeing it in the usual spots
