What cables are used for SSD?

I assume I can connect with the connectors on my Mother Board. I have 2 HDs in use now. Will I have to install Photoshop on the SSD to get the fast loading or can I use the SSD as a data drive?

It uses the same type SATA cables as your HDDs.
1 for power, from the PSU. 1 for data, from the motherboard.

Ideally, you want the OS and applications on the SSD.
And with a 500GB drive, also a folder for your actual .ps files.

Yes, the SSD will use exactly the same cables as a conventional SATA hard disk. In general it is more useful to install programs on the SSD rather than data.
