Hello! In my previous threads I asked people why Internet speed on my PC is 200 times lower than it should be, and my Apple Macbook is perfectly fine. I bought Asus AC1900 adapter. Yes, the one with three antennae that you can stick to your desktop's side panel. My download speed was around 40 - 50 kB/s, sometimes dropping to bytes per second. Now it is 150 MBps up. I don't want to sound like a bitch because not a lot of people get speeds like that, but I think that it is very possible for me to get much higher speeds. All speedtests just stop at 150.00 MBps. Apart from my Internet Service Provider, what can be limiting my Internet download speed? Thank you!

your question is confusing AF. so you get 150Mbit ?????? and this is "SLOW" ??????

usenet will cap out any connection when downloading try that..... but really at 150 Mbits the internet itself is your bottleneck

I am not saying it is slow. I want all I can get, and, as I denoted, all speedtest cap exactly at 150 MBps, which, at least to me, means that something is limiting my speed.

what plan do you have from your isp ?

Thanks for the suggestion. My previous network card, or, more accurately, absence of one, had such straightforward functions; when I opened the configuration for my new ASUS card, I was blown away by how much sh*t there is to configure. Back to the point: I turned it to ac. I now get 431 MBps down. Problem solved.

cool enjoy the speed 😛 and cheers

Thanks! I am more than amazed by that adapter. Really respect ASUS know. Look at my previous threads on this problem if you want to laugh at the speeds I was getting on speedtest.net.
