This seems to happen randomly, but sometimes the internet drops on all my wifi devices. They are still able to wirelessly access the network and can can log into my wireless router's web config page, but get no internet access. My wired computers can still access the internet as usual. I usually end up rebooting the router and everything returns to normal. What can be causing this? I have all my router firmware updated, but this hasn't helped.

I assume you have a modem. if you have to powercycle modem and router, you might want to try only one at a time, to see which one is locking up.
Try bypassing the router and see if you continue to drop the connection or not. That can help see if the router is the issue or not.

Going straight to the modem doesn't let me test the wifi and my wired connections are fine even with the router. I don't typically have to power cycle the modem either, (just the router) so I'm pretty sure it's an issue with the router's wifi. I'll try disconnecting the router anyways, but I'll have to wait until bedtime to try it when the rest of my family stops using the internet.

When the internet dies for just the wifi devices, my log on my router doesn't list anything unusual. If the router is the problem like I suspect, is there any test I can try to diagnose the problem?
