What can go wrong ?!

OK I'm building a cheap pc and now looking into ram I could buy 16 gb of ddr3 or 8gb of ddr4. All I'm gonna do is game on it and heard I don't need ddr4 to do so. thanks

Whats the mobo?? If it supports DDR3, DDR4 ram wont work. And DDR3 wont work on a mobo that uses DDR4 ram

What can go wrong??
A motherboard will support either DDR3 or DDR4; if you get that wrong, it will not fit.

Best to post all of your proposed build, your budget and what you will use the pc for.

It supports DDR3 i could get a mobo that supports ddr4 if its better for gaming

You have the cart before the horse.
What cpu will you be wanting to use?
A cpu that supports ddr3 will need a different motherboard than a cpu that needs ddr4.

Have you already bought any parts?
The time to ask these questions is BEFORE you buy..
