So i'm in the process of building a gaming rig/Hackintosh for my little sister
This is the current status of the build http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/VirtualRecess/saved/P3dJ7P

I've been searching but i can't seem to find anything to change in order to drop the price down without losing the performance too much which is why i'm here asking you guys/gals

Have you any suggestions for parts that i could change to reduce the price or increase the performance

Its going to be a hackintosh so i'm only able to use Intel chips and Nvidia GPUs for compatibility reasons

Why do you think ?

She mainly plays skyrim and want use mods such as the textures Optimizers, texture packs and what not... do you think in its current state it could handle it ?

Thanks :)

That HDD you had was seriously overpriced.

I changed the PSU out to a higher quality unit.

There is very little difference (gaming performance wise) between this CPU and the one you selected. For the GPU, I left it at what you selected but for a bit more, you could get a 760.

Solution

Thank-you for the quick response! The HDD will definitely help and so will the CPU (I was looking at the 4460 but though the 4590 would be a tad better)

Thanks Again! this should drop the price down a good few :)

He doesnt want a performance drop. The other build on here was better.
