What can I do with this Tablet

Hello there,

My technical skills are, I'd say a 4/10 and recently my brothers tablet an ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T broke down with an operating system error. Now all that happens is it loads to the initial ASUS boot screen in black and stays there. A little message in the top left says "no certificate to inject" although my sister's tablet and mine both say the same thing and they work fine. His was working fine until this time. We let the battery run out and charged it again but it won't budge, now he's giving it to me in favor of buying a Galaxy Tab 3. So what can I do with it? Should I sell it for parts or is there a chance to fix it or could I install a different OS on it? He said that when he plugged it in into his computer it didn't do anything but I'll test it later.

Any feedback will be appreciated and thank you for taking the time to answer this question.

Solution
With the tablet off, hold down the VOLUME DOWN and POWER button. See if you can get it to the cold-boot screen. If you can get to this screen, you can try to recover it by manually installing the latest firmware version. You can download the file from our support site at www.support.asus.com.

If you cannot even get to the screen, I would call support to see if you can send it in for an RMA. If it is still under warranty, then send it in to get it fixed. Once repaired, you can choose to do with it whatever you please. Even if you want to ultimately sell it, a working tablet sells more for a non-working on. Unlike a laptop, you will not find many people willing to take it off your hands just for the parts.
