Hey guys I have a Certified Data desktop and it has a 400w power supply, amd a6-7400k processor with a integrated amd raedon r5 graphics card. I'm wondering what I can upgrade to make this run PUBG or Rocket league smoothly at 45-60 fps?

Solution

Yes most definitely. In fact the better option is to not waste $170+ on a dead-end CPU upgrade. I say dead-end bc the Athlon 860K (including 880K) are the fastest processors for your motherboard; but they are still slow for today's games. You will be limited by the Athlon X4 in PUBG.

A better option is to upgrade to AM4 motherboard with Ryzen CPU and DDR4 RAM. All depends on your budget.

This would be the sweet spot for budget gaming. PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 3 1200 3.1GHz Quad-Core Processor ($109.88 @ OutletPC)...
You need a better CPU and GPU. This is your cheapest option. Well, you could find a cheaper GPU like GT 1030, but it won't give you 45fps on PUBG. GTX 1050 will barely get you 45fps MAYBE. PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: AMD - Athlon X4 860K 3.7GHz Quad-Core Processor ($67.30 @ Amazon)
Video Card: Zotac - GeForce GTX 1050 2GB Mini Video Card ($109.99 @ Amazon)
Total: $177.29

Okay so better cpu and gpu for sure, so if money wasn't really a problem are there other options that would work better?

Each have different upgrade paths.

Other more expensive upgrades that offer more performance would be Ryzen 5 1600 or i5-7600K + GTX 1060.

*Don't forget to get a proper power supply if you get those new parts. Depends on your budget, any of these will do. https://pcpartpicker.com/products/compare/fZyFf7,nB3RsY,3F2rxr/

Okay thx a lot for the help MrN1ce9uy, I appreciate it. Ill look into building my own desktop instead of trying to upgrading this one just to run into a dead end.
