What can I use to stick something to my monitor?

I've installed an led strip on the underside of my monitor. At the end of the strip, you plug in a usb cord with a controller for the different modes/colors.

So what I want to do is stick the controller onto the side of the monitor so I can easily flick through everything by just pressing the side of the monitor.

I've tried to cellotape/electrical tape it but it's not strong enough to hold the weight.

I have some hard plastic glue but I don't know if it will damage my monitor + i want to be able to remove the usb controller if needed.

So what could I use?

Use Velcro with adhesive on the back, you can get it for very cheap or just make it yourself if you have some Velcro and adhesive lying around...

Double side sticky tabs from local DIY, cheap, easy to remove and clean off any gunk left behind if removed

I use carpet tape when I need a hard hold. It is much stickier than most and is easy to use. Its a big roll but you can pass it on to your children.

It can be removed with a little effort and should not dry.
