Just ordered a new budget gaming pc. These are the specs: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Rhino1230/saved/FnGbt6 I'd like the know how well this will run on games like minecraft, tf2, world of tanks, bf4, and black ops 2 zombies.

The estimate fps would be appreciated.

I also have an extra 80 dollars I can spend on any other parts I need. Please suggest anything you want! Tell me if I would need anything else.

Thanks a ton!
Please try to respond promptly!

That's a good processor. If you're gonna overclock it though, I suggest a aftermarket cpu cooler. The stock is loud and runs hot. The hyper 212 evo is very good and should get you to at least 4.0~4.2. That is about 30-40 dollars. With that PC, you should be able to run all the games you listed.

You need to give the link again. It doesn't update on the old link. But with any decent cpu you sohuld get 60 fps in minecraft, 60 in tf2, 45-60 in world of tanks on low to medium, 30-60 in battlefield 4 on low, possibly medium, and I don't have any experience with black ops 2, but at least 30-45 and possibly 60.

Awesome thanks! I probably won't overclock. But I'm planning to upgrade fans within 6 months of building. Are there any other parts or upgrades you would recommend?

I believe I have that same exact wifi card and it works fine. Don't really notice a difference from my wired to be honest. The only other thing I recommend is an ssd. Best upgrade you can make to a pc.

The MSI 970A-G43, like many cheap MSI and ASrock AM3+ boards, is trash. These boards constantly come up as the source of performance problems in AM3+ builds. They don't have adequately engineered power delivery systems for the CPU. For AM3+ builds Asus and Gigabyte are really the only options at this time (though these brands are not without their faults either, there are some boards to avoid!). The Biostar TA970 is really the only non-Asus/Gigabyte board in it's price class I could recommend as an alternative.

The Corsair builder series is mediocre quality but functionally acceptable in a build like this.

There's almost always a GTX660 or R9 270, both superior to the GTX750Ti for around that same price. (~$150, sometimes less). An i3-4150+R9 270 or FX-6300 + GTX660 would have been better buys in terms of performance and/or visual quality. (I generally advise the use of geforce cards with AMD CPUs because the driver/API implementations are better suited to the arrangement of execution resources on AMD CPUs than AMD's own software implementations, except in Mantle supporting games).

To give the motherboard a break just make sure to always use down-blowing heatsinks for the CPU and don't try to use ultra-quiet fan control settings (in BIOS) as this will cut down on VRM cooling at higher loads. One of the best heatinks to use on these 95W chips on a board like this, is actually AMD's 140W heatink. You can often find them for ~$10-15 shipped to your door. They are recognizable as having a copper base with 2 heatpipes and a high rpm 70mm fan. A beefed up version of the same concept can be found in the SilverStone AR06.

---------

Teachable moment: An i3-4150 will out-perform or perform on par with an FX-6300 at stock clocks in any game. There aren't any games that I am aware of, where the FX-6300 out-performs the i3.
