What can you use for Thermal paste Or something similar at a Hardware Store ?

I was told you can substitute a Thermal paste for something at your local Hardware store ? In case you cant get Some Artic Silver ? Any help or tips will help ! thanks

Definitely not my first choice but in an emergence those will work.

I believe Toothpaste, Lipstick, Butter were tested and performed better than having a heatsink contacting the CPU directly. Chocolate was one thing that performed worse than bare metal to metal.
