really interested to know what case this is.
how about the fans? especially the harddrive mounting system with fan on side - is
this a separate item or part of the case?

That looks like an MSI built system and the handle on top reminds me vaguely of CM's mastercase maker 5t but it's obviously a totally different case. I checked current MSI pre-built systems and I don't see anything looking exactly like it on the list:

Maybe an older legacy model they don't make anymore?

The fans are Corsairs Air series.
The HDD cooling is a feature of the case.
