Bigger isn't always better. What case size will you be using in your next build? What's your favorite?

Each has it's pros and cons. Smaller cases work if you have a limited amount of space, while larger cases are necessary for maximizing air flow, cooling, and also help if you want to proudly display your PC.

I've always been an ATX user, but I think when the time comes for my next full build I'm going to go with an mATX form factor, though I wouldn't mind doing another mini ITX home theater PC based around a Fractal Design Node 202. I really don't have space, room, or need for a full tower, so I most likely won't ever use one, although my Enthoo Pro does qualify as one.

90% of my builds are in a mid size case, one of my favorite cases right now is the Phantecks Eclipse P400

The only time i move to a full size case is when im doing water loops and use my XSPC H2 case, thing is massive and can fit a ton of radiator space.

I don't know what I will use next as I haven't seen any cases that make me go... "I want that" for 5 years now. I still like the case I have now and it will take a lot to convince me otherwise.

red thing is GPU, so you can work out how it all works (this isn't my picture, I don't have a old GPU in mine)

black monolith, mine hasn't got a window

Always like expansion space even if I never expand into it.

would like a smaller case but keeping everything cool seems to be a hard call. Last 5 cases have all been midi or larger, nice to have one that fits on table one day.

The only case I've really seen that I would replace my H440 with would be a Phanteks Enthoo Evolv with tempered glass or something similar, but there really isn't anything that has really wowed me lately.

My next build will be in the new year and I'm going from a 17 year old Thermaltake Xaser IIIa that's finally going rusty on the inside to a Thermaltake Core X9. yup, bigger is better in this case, my cats like to sleep on the top of the case and with Maine coons, anything less than a 2 foot wide e-ATX case will be squished by 16kg of fuzzy things.

I wonder why more cases are not orientated this way.

I've always wanted to try a micro ATX or mini ITX (not counting the HTPC I already have) build but I probably won't do another full one for a few years. Just minor upgrades right now.

Mid ATX.

It's not too big to be unmanageable, and not to small to be a pain to work in.

You don't need huge cases for good airflow, you don't need a ton of HDDs, and you don't need more than 1 GPU.

The NZXT S340 is simple, clean, looks good, and comes in a variety of colors. And it's totally affordable.
NZXT "could" probably refine it some improvements for a new model though as well.

I have wondered that ever since I got this. Blowing all heat out top of case seems logical approach, and with no cables on back of case I can put it in a corner of room and it really doesn't take up that much space there. Only downsides I can see are easy to spill liquids into top if you were not careful, and if you go away for a week or so, and PC isnt on in that time, you have to remember to put a cover over top or dust will gather inside. So far been smart enough to avoid 1st one but I learned the dust one myself.

Even Silverrstone appear to have moved back to the normal layout now, but their more recent cases have been the cheap end of their family, not their expensive cases. Occasionally you see cases rotated 90 degrees

Mid, but a full size case is nice to. I currently have an Enthoo Pro M which I like a lot.
