what cases fit Asus MAXIMUS VIII GENE Motherboards , as im upgrading my alienware x51 to a new case

The ASUS MAXIMUS GENE VIII is a standard Skylake LGA1151 micro-ATX motherboard. There are a zillion cases. How about this http://www.amazon.com/BitFenix-without-Supply-BFC-PAN-300-KSWL1-RP-Silver/dp/B00OULNV2Y. Even the decent, cheap, Cooler Master n200 will do.

I did not realize that the x51 used Skylake parts. When did you get it?

Are you sure it is a VIII and not a VII?

yes sorry it is VII , i got my alienware from dell.com , im really wanting to upgrade it to a bigger cases so in the future i am able to purchase upgrades and not worry about fitting in to my case. Im fairly new to this :/

Im not fussed about all that , all i want it to do is be compatibl with my current alienware x51 components and gradually i will upgrade them. I have the gtx 970 but doesnt fit into case without force. Needed a case to fit them all and still be able to upgrade other things. Im new to this whole thing.

The GTX 970 Windforce 3 will easily fit in the Thermaltake. It will handle cards nearly 2" longer. as will the Cooler Master N200. (up to 14" long)

Do you have an aftermarket CPU cooler? Almost any cooler will fit in the Core V21, and most will fit in the Cooler Master.

CRYORIG H7 would be my first choice for cooler.

PSU depends on your parts. An EVGA 110-B2-0750-VR will certainly do, is very good, and costs $55, but we may be able to use something cheaper.

thats current i have the asus maximuss vii and gtx 970 and either fractal case or thermaltake.

No haha im sorry , i got a alienware 1 year ago and have not changed it from dell.com it was £820 and im wanting it in a bigger case with my new motherboard and graphics card.

i have a air cooler(fan) for my motherboard and i dont know about the other but it may be a liquid cooler i dont know .
