Retina MacBook Pro 2014 edition. Had my keyboard completely stop working twice since purchase. It comes back seconds later, but why does this happen to begin with?
The keyboard/track pad ribbon cable from the top case is not seated correctly into the logic board connector (or damaged).
Something was spilled into the keyboard and it took a bit of time to damage the connections.
The last possibility is the battery has swelled pressing from under the keyboard causing it to fail.
But the problems are "permanent" not temporarily so can you try to explain what have you done to solve the problem? Like updating the laptop or anything like that?

I update it when there's updates available, so I'm on the latest OSX
