Question What causes an smb video stream to buffer?

So I have an smb setup for my computer and my LG streams videos from it. Now, when I use the computer either gaming or watching something else it starts to buffer.

I don't know why it causes it and I like to stop it from happening again. Fixes?

Is it over a wireless or wired connection? Even though it isn’t using the internet, the data still has to travel from the server (your computer) to the client (the TV). If the videos/movies aren’t downloading fast enough to the TV, then it will buffer.
