What cheap but good GPU should I use for my a10 6700 with 8gb ddr3 ram?

I have a AMD a10 6700 APU @3.7 GHz and ~4.1GHZ turbo boosted,
8gb DDR3 RAM,
1 TB Hard Drive

I probably wil get more ram later, and please dont tell me to get a better CPU, I know its not the best, I am stuck with it for now.

Its a decent pc, but I want a cheap but good quality GPU for the a10 6700. It runs most newer games at 30 fps best on low - med settings. It can run SWTOR at med+ ~ 25 - 30 fps, Minecraft at 60-80 fps, and World of Warships at 20fps to my dissapointment.

I have heard the r7 250 could work but how much of a performance boost would I see assuming I use the best GPU configuration? Also, I am looking for a GPU that can actually run Star Wars Battlefront 3 better than 15fps at low settings.

What should I do?

You don't need more RAM.

The power supply you can use depends on the case and power supply you have, did you check what card will work with your computer?

R7 250X is a decent card but a bit of entry level these days.

The R7 260X/R7 370/nVidia 750 Ti would be a bit better and should still match the A10 CPU OK.

Well, r7 250 *should* allow you to hybrid X-fire with that apu.
However, depending on your budget, it's probably better to just get a better card entirely because of dual graphics issues
