What Client Does Newegg Use for Digital Download Games

I was thinking about preordering GTA V through Newegg, since I have a couple of unused Newegg gift card codes from price changes. I was just wondering how Newegg handles digital download games. Do they give you a code that you can use on Steam, or is it a standalone download straight from Newegg?

The game affects what client the code is for. If it is an EA game, usually Orgin etc. You should be able to find the details on the offer page.
