What Components would be the best (NOT minimum NOR overkill) to run GTA 5 and Battlefield 4 at 768p at ultra settings?

Hi guys, I currently have a Laptop with a GeForce 410m but it doesnt run GTA IV. I have to set all the settings to the minimum possible to get about 18 fps on average. I am thinking of buying a new PC with components that would be the best for playing games like GTA 5, Battlefield 4 etc without any issue. Any suggestions as to which Graphics card, processor, etc. would get me the best result to game at 720p or 768p would be very helpful. I have looked at a couple of i7 processors and GTX 1080 to GTX 980 but I feel like they way too much power for gaming at 768p at ultra settings.

Do NOT buy an AMD FX processor. They suck, plain and simple and are often outperformed by i3s. The Bulldozer architecture is very old, inefficient and uses a lot more power than other processors at that pricepoint. Going for AMD at the moment makes no sense. I'd get an i3 (or Pentium anniversary edition) and a GTX 960, which is a much newer architecture. Keplar isn't going to get full support for too long either, so buying such old components makes literally no sense.
