What computers have certain socket types.

Here is a quick question. I can not seem to find a place to be able to find out which prebuilt desktops have certain motherboard socket types. For example instead of buying just an LGA1366 motherboard and then having to go out and buyu a case for it I want to buy a used desktop that has a LGA1366 otherboard already in it. Is there a website that has this info?

An overall list does not exist.
A "Dell Optiplex", for instance, may span multiple Intel sockets, or even AMD vs Intel.

You'd have to look at the specific motherboard.

But your basic concept is flawed. Often, those prebuilt things are decidedly non-standard.
PSU, case connections...all may not work with regular ATX spec parts.

yes you can filter by socket type on ebay

sorry but looks like they removed the ability to filter by socket type

in fact i cant even see filter by cpu any more either

could just search for example i7 920 in all categories

then it lets you pick desk tops

though i preferred how it used to be able to filter

and if you want to resell them in your store

i would suggest you look in wholesale and job lots

rather than going through a ton of pages to pick up one here and there

For prebuild, need to research on what cpu it support. not just socket.
