What could cause screen artifacts and error code 43?

We're talking about the brand new pc here.

We returned the vga to the retailer and they had it extensively tested (or so they claimed) and there was apparently no problem.
We have removed drivers with ddu and reinstalled but the artifacts show up still and crash the pc.

If we can be sure that the problem is with the vga we can just rma it back straight to zotac. Could it be the psu? or the motherboard? How can we make sure which one it is and how can we prove there is a problem so we can RMA?

Try and reinstall the drivers, maybe monitor the gpu temperatures while gaming.
