What could cause this problem?

So recently my computer has been acting up. When i'm doing anything regardless of what the task is my computer will freeze up, then the screen will turn black & my monitor will turn off because it cant find any video source. While this is happening any sound I have playing before it happens keeps playing.

have you checked with different psu if not then try ...
if u have a gpu remove it and run your p on on board gfx....
but mainly i thing its because of a dying board...

Thats what im assuming but I have no idea on how to pinpoint the dying board....

well you have to check every part individually then but i think testing with a different psu will be useful..just give it a try ..

Have you ever cleaned your CPU heatsink and fan? Are you monitoring temps?

Need more info..
