[SOLVED] what could go wrong if I lower GPU power limit and temp limit ? ty

Hello ,
I just built a new pc 1 month ago , I have Geforce 2060 RTX super , had some heat problems with some games , they crash when it hit 65temp , when I use Msi afterburner and lower temp and power limit and increase fan manually to 70 , it doesn't go above 63 and the game ( Monster hunter world ) don't crash anymore , I cnat' figure out the problem I'm totally new in this

List your full PC specs.

65c is fine for a GPU, so it's possibly something else causing the crashing. When you say games crash, what happens? Do they crash to your desktop or does the PC restart by itself, or is there a BSOD?

AMD Ryzen 5 3600
Nvidia Geforce RTX 2060 Super
Asus prime B450M-K
HDD 1TB
SSD 240
PSU Corsair VS 550 Watt

the game crash to desktop sometime it messes with graphic driver it says graphic device crashed

to me, sounds like GPU problem... 65C is very normal under load for GPU.

@GizmoMKD yes , only MHW or destiny 2 that crash with that temperature , other games like plagues tale , assassin's creed odyssey , played them on high settings nothing happens , I used superposition with 1080 high GPU and results are ;
I used Superposition benchmark 1080high for results I got :

FPS min 71.28 average 87.06 max 110.23
GPU tem : min 30 .0 max 74.0
GPu utilization 98%

with no problem of course
