I Have an i3 4170 Cpu and until recently i was using stock cooling and my temperatures would hit 80 degress (Celsius) under load (Crysis 3, Skyrim SE, Dragons Dogma ect.) and i even went as far as to borrow a friends intel cooler that he wasnt using and still the same thing. The thermal compound was applied correctly and the cooler was seated properly on the board aswell. Two days ago i got my Cooler Master TX3 evo and after running this for a while my Temps would never exceed 58c. Are Haswell chips always this hot? because if thats the case then no gamer should use a Haswell CPU under stock cooling seeing that these temperatures are very unhealthy, and i forgot to mention my ambient room temp is around 25c. :ange:

Well I would say most people who take the time to build their own pc's want as low of temps as possible, I certainly do. But 80c is not really going to hurt a modern intel CPU.

Running long periods of time at say 90c+ is when I would start to worry about potentially shortening the life of the processor in any significant way.

I can read your English just fine.
well thanks you for the reply, i guess my mindset was always that 80 was very bad . Personally i hate high temps but i guess if it isnt throtteling then its fine (excuse my bad english)
