What CPU and Motherboard Do I Get?

I'm upgrading my PC because I want more performance in the games I love playing (All Battefield games). I can't stand AMD anymore, I thought they'd be a good entry point for my first build but they've caused me nothing but headaches and all I want to do is play games, max settings with a good framerate over 60. I could complain about AMD's drivers all day, they never work half the time, I'm using drivers 3 versions ago so I can actually play BF3 and BFBC in piece without getting 30-40FPS and crashes.
Anyways, I've been heart set on a 980TI, though it's a really pricey card, being $1100 CAD
and I still need a good CPU to pair with it. Sadly my FX-8350 won't do the job, it'll bottleneck it.
So, do you guys have any recommendations for a good CPU and Motherboard? I want it to be Intel, and an i5 or i7. I'd also like a motherboard that is something I don't have to upgrade for a while. If it's able to support all the i7 CPUs that would be awesome, that way I can upgrade the CPU when I get a bit more money.
I'm getting picky now, but if it'd could be all black, white and black, or silver and black. As long as it isn't too pricey. If you can't find decent theme for the board at a good price then forget it. I can deal with the theme for now, I just want to play games.

I got a budget for CPU and MOBO of about $400-600 CAD. Please try to make it as cheap as possible with the best performance, even if you guys are selling an old mobo on Ebay, I'd be happy to buy it or look at it.

Thanks, sorry for all the possible spelling mistakes and the complaining about AMD, I've been frustrated with AMD's drivers recently.

I've got just the right system here:
Motherboard: Asus B85M-G (It's brownish-black)
CPU: Intel Core i5 4460 (It won't bottleneck a 980)
That's a solid and cheap setup which won't bottleneck your GPU.

It won't bottleneck a 980TI?

Another question, do you recommend buying the CPU and Mobo first and then the GPU? The way I think about it is if I was to get the 980ti first, it'll bottleneck anyways so it's pointless, but if I buy the CPU and Mobo first I can still use my GPU and have fun. I'd just like another opinion on this, thanks so much for your recommendation I actually really like that golden brown color on the mobo

There won't be any bottleneck, trust me. If you wanna be absolutely sure tho, you can grab the i7 4770, but that's overkill in most situations. I'm sure everything'll be fine. Also glad you like the colour 😉

That information is downright false. The i5 4460 is much faster in single threaded applications and slightly faster in multi threaded applications. Have you ever had those CPUs? Probably not. I can confirm the infos Ive posted are true

While you might not have been able to make your FX computer work many of us have

SwizzleDude is right, the FX is nothing compared to an Intel i5 or i7 in BF games, just look at the benchmarks online. Even if you are right, I can't continue to deal with AMD, they're a horrible company and their drivers are just down right horrible.
