[SOLVED] what cpu + gpu should i get?

Hi everyone. I'm currently planning an update for my PC. The question is in cpu+gpu choice. My goal is to play games and try streaming it. What should i aim for?
2700 + 1660S (budget option)
3700x + 1660S
2700 + 5700 XT
3700x + 5700 XT

And i would really appreciate your suggestions!=)

What is your PC Specs? Full specs please.

If you have the budget get the best you want to get. If you're trying to get the best 1440p performance go with the 3700X and 5700XT, but if you are just using it on a 1080p system then the 3700X and 1660S will be just fine. I wouldn't get the 2700 for a gaming machine. The 3700X is clearly the superior choice between the two.

Justin. Thank you for your suggestion. I forgot to say, that i'm not going to stream fps games and i have 1080p monitors, so 1440p is not for me rn ). Is it worth getting the best i can afford 3700x + 5700 xt(for x264 encoding) or should i just go for budget 2700 + 1660s(for nvenc) 1080p gaming\streaming and upgrade later if i'll switch to 1440p with new navi and zen 3\4 ?

You should buy 2700 + 1660 S. Trust me AMD encoding is bad for OBS, and it's not even good at all, you can't record in quality preset, only balanced. Meanwhile Nvidia encoding is very good and you can increase the bitrate up to 100k i think, and most of the OBS settings tutorial are for Nvidia.

Forget to mention, when i test using AMD Encoding in quality preset (OBS). The clip is very laggy, it's like 20fps.

Well, encoding hardware isn't really an issue. AMD's encoders work well enough, but NVidia's are better. However, with something as powerful as a 3700X you can software encode without a performance hit. For maximum flexibility you should probably get the 3700X and 1660S. That gives you the option of software encoding or to use NVENC. Also, you're better off getting the most CPU you can now so that you don't waste money later. You won't need an upgrade any time soon with a 3700X, and it will drive any GPU on the market so if you wanted to upgrade the GPU later you won't be CPU limited in choice... well unless you wait 4-5 years to upgrade. Who knows what will even happen with GPUs by then.

Edit: 3600 + 1660S < 2700 + 1660S ? If i'm using nvenc

You seem like you've got the pre-build jitters. None of the configurations you've listed will do badly at all.

If I were building a budget streaming system I'd go for the 3600. You're going to be using the GPU for encoding so you won't need all the extra CPU cores, what you'll want is single core performance, and the 3600 is better for that than the 2700 or the 2700x. I'd have suggested it sooner but you seemed to want an 8 core CPU, not a 6 core.

Justin. Thank you for clarifying this to me. Many people suggest 2700 for streaming when choosing between 2700 and 3600. So i came here for answers. Budget system is really ok for me if it can game+stream 1080p@60fps. I can wait and purchase 3700x + 5700xt, but it will be in late january - early february. I wanted to know what budget options there are on the market. Sorry for my unclear questions and really Thank you for your answers. You helped me alot! =)
