I am currently looking for a budget CPU for my build. Im looking for a quad-core so that i can play next gen titles such as Witcher 3 and Dying Light.
Also if there are any bad choices in my build please point them out and suggest an alternative.

G3258 can overclock on that board. It's only £50 but overclocked (yes, possible with stock cooler) it will beat an £80 i3. Not sure how much that is in Australian $ but it should leave you with enough money left for an R9 280 (perfect for 1080p high settings)

Is the gap between Intel 4460 and the AMD 6300 very noticable?

On CPU intensive games, somewhat.... kind of.... not really. You'll drop a few frames on CPU intensive games; not by much. Unless you play older games that require single-threaded performance instead of cores. On modern, GPU intensive games, you will not see a difference. Maybe 2-3 fps. Plus the FX-6300 is an easy overclocked. You could overclock to ~3.8GHz on stock cooler. It won't make a huge difference but you'll probable gain back those 2-3 fps.
