Question What cpu is better than an i7 6700k?

Im looking for a cpu that is better than a 6700k, that in mind it has 4 cores and its 4ghz I wasn’t sure if there was another cpu from amd that had 6 cores and 4.2 ghz or something along those lines. More cores and more frequency, without spending a fortune, any suggestions? Just a step up from what i have. I know theres a 5.0 or 4.5 ghz but its like $500 or more

Ryzen 5 3600X is better than the i7 by 13% in performance
It is cheaper with the price of 200$
It has 6cores and 3.2ghz
Overall. Very affordable

the R5-3600 and a compatible B450 mainboard are the current 'value + performance' combo of the decade, IMO.... (As soon as the 3700X falls a bit in price, it will take it's place, just to have 2 more cores/4 more threads than really needed!)
