What CPU is good for the Asus sabertooth x99 for gaming?

I currently have the i7 5820k but it's just not good at all. Do y'all have a suggestion on what CPU is great gaming on this motherboard?

Won't really get any better. Just get an aftermarket cooler and OC it and you're good to go.
I also doubt that it's a CPU related performance problem, because a 5820k shouldn't have any problems with any game.

What GPU are you running?

Not good as in barely get 30 FPS

well that's because you've got a top end CPU and a low to mid range GPU. What PSU do you have?

It is strange that you've got a top quality CPU and motherboard but your power supply and graphics card are bottom of the barrel quality. It's seriously not balanced at all. Upgrade the PSU and graphics card and you have a high end gaming PC that will handle everything. CPU is not the issue, graphics card is very weak.

Yeah well, that's the problem.
FPS are mainly generated by your GPU not by your CPU. 😛
The CPU just has to make sure that the GPU can run at 100% load without getting bottenecked and your 5820k will allow pretty much any GPU setup possible to run at full 100%.

I thought this GPU would be a problem. I'll upgrade to a GTX 960 and a higher PSU.
What wattage should I go up to for the PSU?

960 is not a great match either unless you are at 1080p and don't mind dropping quality levels.

Yeah great upgrade from GTX 650 Ti but not good for 60 fps ultra at 1080p.
