Need help about choosing a new CPU.

So i have a motherboard with an AMD Socket, and i want to change my A10 7700k.
What should i go for? I know that intel is the best right now but i can't afford the CPU AND the motherboard (Unless there is a good combo on motherboard and cpu)
I was looking foward to the FX 8350 Vishera, but it will only perform well on DX 12 Games, so i don't know.

(Also i have an Asus strix gtx 960)

Any sugestions?

The platform you're using is FM2+ socket. It doesn't support any FXs, since they are on AM3+ socket.

My suggestion would be; sell your current platform and add the money for overhaul to Intel. Keep the RAM sticks.
Should be quite valuable stuff still. Or patience and wait for Zen to stir things up on price performance race.

But to answer your question, assuming you wanted to keep the board, is go higher A10 class APU like the 7890K and slap faster RAM. But honestly, not much performance gap compared to 7700K you had now.
The significance would apparent if you invest those money to a discrete GPU instead, and keep the current CPU.
You can easily afford an i5. The motherboard and CPU combo can be had cheaper if you live near a Microcenter, and you can opt for an 8 GB kit of RAM if needed. You may also need a new copy of Windows unless you already have a retail version. The i5 6500 will easily run with any graphics card.

Well, you are right about this, the problem is that my country (argentina) has all of those things inflated.

That cpu in here costs around 300 bucks
And the motherboard here costs 105$
Soo..., well yeah, this country sucks. Anyway, thanks at least for the reply
