What CPU should I get in my next laptop for Programming purposes

Hey guys, I'm looking to buy a new laptop for programming purposes.
Mostly IDEs: Visual Studio, JetBrain's product etc
I may sometimes would like to launch a VM in the background.

The options are 6200U, 6500U, maybe 6440HQ?

For dev, you generally need lots of RAM and biggest possible caches in the cpu.
You have already listed them in order of cache size, so that is the order I would recommend them, with6440HQ being best choice if you can get it.

Also make sure your laptop has space to add more RAM later. Sooner or later, you'll find you want more RAM, devs always need more RAM.

Programming in what? COBOL, C, Java, VB?
I did it all on old Pentiums with 8mb.

A nice Core i3 6gb will suffice.
