[SOLVED] What CPU should I get?

I currently have an i5 6400 paired with a GTX 1070, which doesn't go very well together. The CPU severely bottlenecks the 1070 in most games. I was looking for a new CPU and I want it to be good for gaming, but also good for productivity. I'm keeping my 1070 for a little while, so I want something that won't be too slow or too fast. Anyone got any recommendations? Oh and I'm not looking to overclock and I want something future proof. I am also willing to upgrade my current MB if needed.

Rest of my specs just in case you need them
16GB RAM (2400mhz) (I have two more 8GB sticks that I haven't installed)
2TB Hard Drive
750W 80Plus GOLD PSU
MSI B150M Pro-D Motherboard

Solution
If you are not planning on changing the motherboard then the i7 7700 is the best CPU you can get for your system, but you will need to update your BIOS first so it will work on your motherboard.
You can find the latest BIOS here - https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/B150M-PRO-D
And here is the CPU - https://www.amazon.com/Intel-i7-7700-Desktop-Processor-Cores/dp/B01N0L41N7/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&qid=1544894074&sr=8-3&keywords=7700&linkCode=ll1&tag=xm3a-20&linkId=10eb5f71f8e1dcc4bc248b79ff0114f0&language=en_US
