There's no LGA775 CPU I would recommend for gaming nowadays as it's over 10 years old.

If that's all you can get though I've seen the Q9650 on ebay for like $20 but it's going to struggle on newer games.
so on offer up i seen a Asus z170 motherboard and it comes with intel pentium G400 cpu is that better than my gygabyte GA-EP45-UD3Pand my cpu is a untel xeon x5460

Gaming wise, yes the G4400 is better due to the much better single core performance but I'd still wouldn't buy a dual core nowadays as newer games prefer more cores/threads.

With Ryzen 3rd gen coming out in a few months I'd imagine people will be upgrading there first/second gen systems so you may be able to find a Ryzen 1600/B350 motherboard used for cheap. You would need to buy DDR4 but a 2x4gb @2666+ would be good for gaming until you could afford more memory (16gb is recommended).
