Question What CPU should I pair with the 1660 ti

It would seem silly to get a CPU just barely able to saturate the card, and incapable of streaming, and, possibly not up to the task of even adequately handling a stronger GPU with the latest games in 2 years time...

Get a bit more CPU than you need now, and you can upgrade the GPU in 2 years time, and continue to use the rig for another 2 years

Get at least an 8700K or 9700K...

Replace the GPU only when you feel it is incapable of the frame rates you need/want at 1080P, in whatever year that might occur in...

(I've had my 1060- 6 GB for just shy of 2 years, and it hardly seems even close to inadequate yet...; I suspect you'll be saying the same about the 1660 Ti in 2 years time)

Sounds good, do you think I would have any Amd options

what about the non Ti 1660? I mean what cpu will bring the best from a 1660(non Ti)...maybe a non 'K' core i5 from 8th or 9th gen or even the lowest priced Ryzen 5 (2nd gen)will manage to do the work nicely right? Don't know why but i always hate core i3 and prefer i5 over i3. only exceptions are the most powerful ones like i3 9350k.
