Hi,

I make videos and use regular streaming software to do so(OBS). My problem here is that my current setup runs insanely loud and hot while only having OBS open.

Also not looking for a massive gaming upgrade or anything, a small bump would be nice but i dont really care.

My FX6350 with Stock cooler runs at 6600RPM and 71c while recording. Problem is that it's so loud it messes up any recording i do.

My pc currently has a FX6350, RX470, 1TB, ASROCK970DE3, 16GB RAM.

Another problem is that my pc cant handle recording 1080p at 60fps, or 1080p in general.

I used reddit to ask questions but not alot of answers there.

Do i go for a G4560? (Ive been told this might not even help with what I need) i found one for 40$ brand new.

Do i get a new cooler to get this one silent?

Please help, i really need advice here asap

My first suggestion is a new air cooler. I have used two Zalman 92mm radials coolers and one is currently keeping my 6350 in the 50s at full load while OC'd to 4.3. You can get one on newegg for between $20-30. They are one of the highest rated air cooling units available.

Next, are your case fans clean and running at higher RPM? Helps cool but will counter your sound issue.

On the sound issue... can you place your PC in another location or direction to reduce the sound pollution? Are you getting a lot of sound from your case fans? Are they older and wearing out/can you upgrade them?

Any other CPU move is essentially $100s of dollars to build a basic rig when it seems you might be able to make a few adjustments for far less...

If you are on a strict budget, try for a i5-7500 or Ryzen 1400. These both require a new Motherboard and RAM (but so does the G4560...) The G4560 is more or less on par with the FX 6350 with stronger single core performance, overall it won't be much of an upgrade. Your RX 470 should be fine for 1080p Gaming and Recording, so i'd get a stronger CPU. But that said, have you tried recording using Radeon ReLive? As far as i know it has lower CPU and GPU overhead compared to most recorders. I'd give it a shot and see if it can take some stress off the CPU when recording (but don't expect any miracles). Hope this helps :)

If your not worried about it being top of the line gaming pc, I would upgrade the cooler to H5 Ultimate (under $50). Its kinda big but that's why it's silent. Big fan at low rpm. It cools my 7700k @4.8ghz, keeping it under or around 70C under load.
