What cpu should i upgrade to?

This is what I'm currently running:

Intel Pentium G4560 cpu
MSI H110M PRO-D motherboard
1x8 GB DDR4 ram
GTX 1050 Ti 4gb

I want to upgrade my cpu to one with at least 4 cores but i can't do so without upgrading my motherboard aswell.
I can't decide between the i3-8100 with Msi H310M PRO-D or the AMD Ryzen 3 2200g with Msi A320M PRO-VD/S. I usually just pick the cheapest motherboard since I don't care about rgb or additional features. Maybe there are other processors I'm missing out on?

I will try to get a 6th or 7th gen I5 for your case, cheap used one will be good, H110 is still capable, no need for mb+cpu upgrade.
Make sure you upgrade your BIOS to latest before dropping in 7th gen.

Yeah I feel like an i5 6500/7500 would be a decent upgrade for you and they're selling for ~$100 on ebay for the 6500.

I don't know where you're looking at but a i5-7500 costs 200 euros at least and it has the same performance as i3-8100. The i3-8100 and ryzen 3 cost 100-110 euros + a 50 euro motherboard. So it would be cheaper to go for the mobo+cpu combo.

The strongest will be a I7-7700K that will need to run at stock.
Perhaps $200-$250 on ebay.

Since you already have a discrete graphics card, you would be wasting money buying the 2200g apu

Your G4560 has 4 threads with a passmark rating of 4882 and a single thread rating of 1987.
It should be a quite competent gamer.
Your best upgrade might be a graphics upgrade if you favor fast action shooters.
To find out,
Run YOUR games, but lower your resolution and eye candy.
If your FPS increases, it indicates that your cpu is strong enough to drive a better graphics configuration.
If your FPS stays the same, you are likely more cpu limited.

The I7-7700K(8 threads) has a passmark rating of 12,053 and a single thread rating of 2583.
ryzen 3 2200g is 7339/1820
i3-8100 is 8091/2103.

If you end up looking at a big cpu upgrade, the i5-8400 will be one of the best. 6 threads rating of 11720/2335.

So I should upgrade my graphics card instead? Because all i care is smooth 1080p 60hz gameplay. I could go for a 1060 6gb or a 1070. It shouldn't bottleneck right?

My budget is around 200 euros. I can either buy a 1070, a 1060 6gb or a new cpu like the i5 7400. I saw a 1070 for 220 euros so i think this is my best option here.

I have a 500 W psu FSP500-60APN . My cpu ussage while testing with dark souls 3 is around 75%. GPU is 90%

It really depends on if you prefer graphics or FPS. If graphics, yes, 1060/1070 will be good. What happens if you tune down settings? 1050ti should run fine with medium settings.

Tested on ds3 on low settings it's 60% cpu and 60% gpu. I prefer medium graphics and stable 60 fps. If i can ofc i will go higher. I can't stand low settings and 45 fps.

Well the 1070 is gone so i'm just going to go for a new 1060 6gb. I will probably upgrade my mobo+cpu+psu a year later when i have a bigger budget. The card should increase the avg. fps for now i guess. Thanks for the advice

Why don't you just get an i5 6500 . New for around 170 pounds so within 200 euro.
Then you have a solid base for a gpu upgrade in the future, the 1050ti is lovely with an i5.
