I am going to be building a new PC using the ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe Mobo and wanted to know what CPU I should use with it? I am going to be maily playing games if that makes a differance.

If you're only going to playing games, surfing the net, and doing office crap AND you want something fast at a reasonable price... then the Athlon 64 4000+ is your solution.

Now if you are into audio/video encoding, gaming, and other apps that take obvious advantage of dual cores, then an Athlon x2 is your solution.

Just my opinion. I personally have an Athlon X2 4200+ cause I do a lot more than just game.

Also keep in mind that future games will almost certainly take major advantage of dual core processors. Right now most games only use 1 processor.

if ur just gunna be playing games and have money to spend i would go with a FX but if ur buggeting then go with what mpjesse said, 64 4000+

If it is just a gaming rig, get the best single core you can afford. Make sure it's a venice core.
If it's an OCers gaming rig, get the best single core s939 opteron you can.
