[SOLVED] What CPU upgrade should I get to pair with my 3060ti GPU?

I currently have an i5 8600k OCed to 4.7 GHZ, I could get it to 5.0 GHz, but temps get way higher and I don't see that big of a change in performance. So I was thinking on getting a CPU upgrade.
My current set up is:
CPU: Intel i5 8600k
Cooler: Cooler Master MasterLiquid LC240E RGB (not really efficient to keep the CPU temps down during OC, thinking of replacing this, any recommendation is welcome, water/air option)
GPU: EVGA XC RTX 3060 ti
RAM: Corsair 16GB @2400 CL16 (I'm waiting for new RAM that I recently purchased which is going to be 16 GB @3600 CL16)

The main game I play right now is Warzone and with my current set up I am heavily CPU bottlenecked (1080p). Playing with the settings in the Warzone orientation practice mode, I managed to get around 120-140 fps, obviously in real warzone mode I get down to 70-90 fps. The Current CPU is holding down the GPU, I'm certain of this because with the help of a friend who has a Ryzen 5800x paired with a RTX 3060 he gets in the warzone orientation mode around 180 fps.

I want to upgrade to a processor that will make my system be GPU bottlenecked for warzone, instead of CPU bottlenecked. I was thinking on getting a Ryzen 5600x but not sure if it will be really enough or if I should I am for something better like the 5800x or other options from intel as well.

Hey there,

The short answer is, yes, a 5600x will do you fine, and is one of the top performing CPU's out at the moment. Equal to a 5800x in all but core/thread count, and multicore apps. In gaming, nothing separates them. Check this out to see: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X vs Ryzen 7 5800X - 6 or 8 Cores? - YouTube

its 2021 and 8+ cores are the future do with that being said id go for either 11700k or 3700x

don’t go with 10th gen intel because they’re not pcie4

now if you need even more cores for cheap well 1950x is going for around 150 and that’s a good 16 cores
