What current gen GPU matches the performance of my i7 3770 (non-k) perfectly?

I was just wondering the best GPU without CPU bottlenecking I should match with my Core i7 3770, permanently (I plan on an entire system upgrade to Ryzen for a new PC later this year), to get the best performance in games without the CPU bottlenecking the GPU's performance. I.e. What current (or previous or next) generation GPU matches the performance of my i7 3770 (non-k) perfectly?

I hope you understand my question. If not please ask for further clarification.

You have a quad core with hyperthreading and it's not really that old. At lower resolutions your CPU is more than enough, and at higher resolutions(ie 4k) it's all about the videocard. There is no one, individual model of videocard that's going to give you a Goldilocks "just right" fit.

Have you seen this?

I Already have 32 GB DDR3 1333 X.M.P 1600 running at 1333Mhz in my system but the only problem from going to the best of the best is I'm using a modest sized ATX Mid tower case. This One, to be exact: http://www.coolermaster.com/case/mid-tower/elite-311/

This is my current PSU: http://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=220-p2-0850-x1

So I should really reword my question as: What would be the best match that also fits nicely in my limited case space?

But do you know how a i3 Ivy Bridge will suffocate a GTX 1080? what kind of GPU will my meager 3rd Gen i7 CPU do like-wise? GTX 1080 Ti or less?

Actually it is pretty ancient. The i7 7th Gen is out right now, so I know the i7 3rd gen has to have at least some limitations.

It's going to depend on which framerates you will expect in gaming. If you're playing on a 60 or 75 Hz monitor you have no need to look further as the i7-3770 will let your GPU produce that amount in most games (Obviously, if the GPU can do that amount in the first place). If you're playing at 120/144Hz you might benefit from a newer overclocked Intel i7 processor and higher clocked memory.

To be honest, if you can overclock your current RAM to DDR3-2133Mhz, your i7-3770 will hold up decently at high framerates most of the time.

Now that some of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 20 Series is already on the market, I can plainly see, according to AIDA64 GPGPU test (attached) that, the most equivalent (in terms of no bottle-necking) GPU to the well-aged [vanilla] Intel Core i7 3770 (non-overclocked) is (or will be) the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 Ti. End of story. And end of that PC's upgrades. Time to move on to bigger, and brighter things. 😉
