Hey all, so I had a funny screen tearing problem (more like waves) that I tried to fix with vsync and it didn't work. So I decided to reinstall my gpu drivers, uninstalled them via DDU newest version since I had the crimison drivers. First I noticed that the screen tearing appears even without any drivers so I'm guessing that its either monitor issue or cable issue am I right or wrong on this one?

And second, after I installed the new beta update crimison drivers and ran dxdiag I got this:

aticfx64.dll,aticfx64.dll,aticfx64.dll,amdxc64.dll,aticfx32,aticfx32,aticfx32,amdxc32,atiumd64.dll,atidxx64.dll,atidxx64.dll,atiumdag,atidxx32,atidxx32,atiumdva,atiumd6a.cap,atitmm64.dll is not digitally signed, which means that it has not been tested by Microsoft's Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL). You may be able to get a WHQL logo'd driver from the hardware manufacturer.

so now what? reinstall everything with old drivers or can I somehow fix this so the .dlls do get signed or am I fussing over nothing?

Solution
The WHQL certification process allows software to be added to Microsofts 'Windows update' facility. Just because they're not signed does not mean there is a problem with them and rarely does every iteration of GPU driver (for example) go through this process.

Ah thank you, so I'm fussing over nothing. :)

Oh what about the "tearing" issue, noticed it while I was browsing the amd site for drivers, while scrolling to be exact, I just deleted all of the drivers with DDU, hadn't installed any new ones since I wanted to download the newest and the wave thing was there. I cant describe it any better that that, its like waves running on the screen. Is that more likely to be monitor or cable related (hdmi) or is it still only gpu?

The only time I've seen something like that was when I had a set of speakers to close to the monitor and the magnets caused a ripple effect on screen. Check your monitor cable is not twisted around and power cords and such as this can have weird effects on the signal going from the GPU.

Just checked and if i apply any kind of pressure on the cable near the monitor side, monitor goes black mhmmm it might be hdmi jack on monitor. will try it on a tv in the morning. Thank you^^
