So my son's pc was having various freezes while gaming, that i had to perfom hard reset. I wanted to search for the culprit so i started a series of stress tests and here's what i did:
Run Heaven -> freeze after 4 minutes (gpu temps were around 58c)
Run Heaven with frame limit at 60fps -> Normal
Run Heaven with frame limit at 60fps + Prime95 (Non AVX) -> Normal
Run Heaven + Prime95 (Non AVX) ->Normal (+12v rail dropped 11.800v)
And here comes the issue: When i pressed STOP TEST on Prime95, the computer turned off and it won't turn back on ever since. When i press the button, Motherboard lights turn on, CPU and GPU fans spin slowly (no other fan spins), it stops and starts over again
System specs:
i7 8700k @ 4.7ghz
GTX 970
16gb DDR4 @ 3200mhz
PSU: Corsair VS450 (i know that's a red flag - i already had it as spare when i built my son's pc)
The thing is that i can't test it with my main rig's psu since...my cable management is not "world class" and i can't really take it out. And it's Saturday night so i can't just buy a new psu.

get a new psu
that's what i initially thought.
I tried again and it booted, but it reset all BIOS settings to default (?). I entered all my XMP settings and got into windows. Left it for 30 minutes doing nothing, found it turned off doing the same thing again. Is it possible a dying CMOS battery to act like that?
