what dies the oc button do on my gigabyte designare

hey i was just looking up some things about my mobo and found this oc button on it right next to my reset and debug leds. anyone have an idea of what it does?

Does your motherbaord manual say what it does?

The Gigabyte manual I pulled up states:

"OC Button: Press this button to load the most optimized GIGABYTE overclocking configuration for your hardware."

The description is straightforward but you have to pretty much guess at what's actually happening behind the scenes. Long and the short of it, it's probably best used by folks who want to overclock but don't want to change any settings manually. If you plan to manually overclock and change any individual settings, I would leave that button alone unless you first go through the settings to see which ones it modifies.
