After I realised 1440p isn't for me (everything is as small as an ant) and also my gtx 1060 isn't for 1440p I decided to ask the site where I got it from whether I can get a refund or not.

If they say yes, I am going to refund this monitor, and for that price I am going to get a 1080p 144hz one.

The budget should be around 300GBP.

Right now I have an
AOC Agon AG241QX
So I would be most happy with a similar design.

No need for built in speakers, I just want a nice looking design.

If I upscale stuff it just looks blurry, if I turn down the resolution it looks blurry again. Everything is tiny tiny, and if I turn down the resolution what is the point of having 1440p anyways.

I don't even know what is going on anymore, if I use anything other than displayport everything is bigger and at some place a little blurrier , but if I use displayport everything becomes small and sharp, which suggests me DVI and HDMI can't handle 1440p for some weird reason.

I can use 144hz with my HDMI cable. Too bad only displayport supports 2k.

Okay, I'm confused.
If they do, why does everything look bigger and blurry with HDMI and DVI?
Sorry if I sound like a kid, can't find solution neither on google or here this is just isn't logical to me why everything becomes blurry and bigger when it stays on native resolution

I would guess that if it is blurry that the content that you are viewing is much less resolution. When 1080P first came out there were still many shows that here broadcast in standard resolution. The looked terrible on the 1080P screen.

Try some 4K content for comparison.

The other cables just drop the resolution supported. The monitor then shows the lower resolution automatically.

Not talking about media content. I'm talking about stuff like the close button on chrome being blurry and some text etc.

I understand. The problem that you see is one that I've had too. Windows 10 uses a grey on white text. It is hard to see.

The Display settings i mentioned above also allow you turn them to bold. That is darker and much easier to see. Try that and see if it helps.

But you can always get another monitor too.

Let's get back to the original topic. 1080p 144 hz monitor recommendations that looks at least a bit decent?
