I currently have a 3 24” monitors and my desk is 60cm in depth and I find it to be perfect for surround gaming and gaming on one monitor. I want to upgrade to 3 27” monitors hopefully ASUS PG278QR I was wondering if my desk is too small and I need to sit further away? I have looked into buying another desk that is 90cm in depth but this seems very far away?

Any help is greatly appreciated

Distance should be whatever is comfortable for you. If you are going from 1920x1080 to 2560x1440. I wouldn't want to move much further back. As text will be smaller at the higher resolution. Even though the screens are a little larger.

As for the width issue. If you use a triple monitor stand. The monitors will simply go past the sides. But it won't be any mounting issue. I prefer to use bolt through stands rather than clamp on. It looks cleaner. Triple stands also help with cable management and freeing up desk space. Ignore the large base options. They are too unstable with large monitors.

Here are a couple options. They offer clamp and bolt-thru options.

Just because I was bored I pulled out my tape measure while Im sitting here.
Resting, watching videos, typing on here etc I am 28" away from my (24") monitor.
Gaming I am 23" away.

3 27" monitors might be too large for surround, the easiest way to check is to get some cardboard and cut it to size and imagine sitting there. You will probably have to turn your head too much.
