Question What do I do with hard drives without hard drive cage?

Technically I have a hardware cage and I could keep it, but I want this GPU that requires me to remove the hard drive cage in order for it to fit, but I have 2 hard drives in the cage with a ssds. What can I do with the hard drives? I already plan on zip tying the SSD, but I have no idea what I can do with the hard drives. Is there a smaller hard drive cage I can buy that will fit 2 hard drives? I was thinking about sawing off the top part of the hard drive cage and use the bottom 2 slots.

There is a smaller version of the GPU where I wouldn't have to do this, but I'd prefer to see if I can do this first, because the three fan and the two fan cast exactly the same.

cutting the hdd cage down would work. it's not part of the structure of the case so only needs to be as big as you require. seems like the simplest solution and if you're careful it'll still look good.

if you can, you can secure it to the bottom of the case. i've secured hdd's on its side before with a couple screws through the base of the case when i had to remove the cage in the past. so long as it does not move about it'll be fine. but a spinning disk that gets smacked around while writing can damage the platters easy enough. so do be sure it is secured however you do it.

Alternatively you could just use velcro and velcro the HDD to the floor of the case.

I had to cut out my HDD cage to fit my 4090, luckily the part of the HDD cage I did cut wasn't structural.
