Hey there, just looking for some advice.
I'm looking to oupgrade my PC, Current Specs are
Intel I5-3330
Gigabyte B75-D3V
8GB Ram
Palit GTX 770 2gb jetstream edition
XFX 650W PSU.
I'm thinking of upgrading my GPU as at first glance I think the rest of my specs are perfectly fine. Im in a bit of a muddle as i don't know what to get. My maximum spend is around £350 or so, so it limits somewhat. I was thinking of waiting till Black Friday where i may be able to snag a 1070. But also I was looking at a second hand 6GB GTX 980 Ti? I have seen them go for as little as £270~ hence the question what do i do? Also just wondering as a side note - how far can I go before bottle necking? I eventually want to upgrade CPU but surely i should be good for a fair while? Thanks - Matty

Yes, I always advocate buying the best graphics card you can afford.
If you settle for less, you will forever be second guessing yourself.
Extra price hurts for a little while; dissatisfaction lasts much longer.
If you have time, wait for Black Friday/Cyber Monday and try to find some decent deals on a new GPU. Your CPU is a little weak, but GPU is most important for gaming and your CPU isn't THAT bad for gaming in general. If the deals are good enough, you could get both GPU and CPU (say, i7 3770k or similar) for $350. Just depends on how the deals work out.

GTX980ti and GTX1070 are comparable in performance.
You will get what you pay for with either.

Try this test to see what a stronger graphics card might do for you:
Run YOUR games, but lower your resolution and eye candy.
If your FPS increases, it indicates that your cpu is strong enough to drive a better graphics configuration.
If your FPS stays the same, you are likely more cpu limited.

So looking at it by changing settings i definitely get more fps. So i definitely want to go ahead and upgrade my gpu.Shopping around I may get a 1080 due to possibly having a little more to spend. I will upgrade my cpu, mobo and ram after christmas sometime, but will the cpu still be okay until the time comes? Thanks in advance -Matty

So you reckon i'll be fine going with a 1080 then if i can afford it? Eventually i'll get a i7-7770k or something of the sort but it'll have to wait.
