Question What do I need for 144hz?

Before anyone says anything, I'm aware there is an entire sticky dedicated to this, but feel theres so much info and just a bit confusing.
I have a 144hz monitor already (ASUS VG248QE) and I'm wondering what I could use to actually get the full 144hz out of it.
Could somebody please link stuff that would work with this monitor?

All you need is a computer whose GPU is powerful enough to display at 144+ fps and a corresponding Displayport cable (or HDMI 2.0+). By connecting the Displayport cable from the PC to the monitor and going into "Display Settings" and changing the refresh rate from default 60hz to 144hz, you will be finished and ready to enjoy your monitor.

I'm having trouble finding a cable that will work.
It seems almost every one I find online wont run at 144hz. I am aware of the display settings though but currently am unable to change it. Could you link me a cable that I can use for 144hz?
