What do i need to connect this power supply to my graphics card?

I have a gtx 960 and it requires a 400w psu with an 8 pin connecter. well i have a 400w psu and it only has 1 6 pin. Do i need an adapter or something to make this work? thanks -Alex

they have adapters and because it is a 960 it should be safe. look up six to eight pin PCIE converter.

Yes you will need to use the 8-pin adapter or replace the power supply.

Depending upon the age of the power supply, that may be a good idea. Power supplies do degrade over time, and if it is a cheap power supply then you may not be close to the rated 400 watts.
